Guardian Glass debuted a new video about its jumbo glass capability at the Glass Association of North America Building Envelope Contractors Conference in Las Vegas on March 5.

As Guardian Glass prepares to begin production of jumbo glass on its first North American jumbo coater in August, the company introduced the video to illustrate the benefits of Guardian SunGuard glass on lites as large as 200 square feet. The video also features many projects built with jumbo glass in North America and globally. Guardian has been producing jumbo coated glass internationally for more than 20 years.

“Oversized glass can be used in almost every application an architect or designer wants to use,” Leigh Anne Mays, Guardian Glass regional architectural manager east, explains in the video. “We really have given the architects unlimited possibilities.”

The video also includes Guardian Glass regional technical advisor Yuwadee Senamontree reviewing technical considerations for oversize glass, and explains how in the past project teams in North America have had to import oversize glass to meet the growing demand for large, light-filled spaces. Guardian Glass’ new jumbo coater in Carleton, Michigan will create value for U.S. customers with a ready supply of jumbo glass close to home.

The Guardian SunGuard coated glass product line for commercial applications offers excellent solar control and a wide variety of colors and performance levels. SunGuard glass products provide innovative, leading solutions for appearance, economics and energy efficiency, and are available through an international network of independent Guardian Select fabricators.
