Reflecting its growth and increasing global presence, the award-winning architecture and interior design firm, CetraRuddy, has elevated to Partner the noted designer Ximena Rodriguez.

According to CetraRuddy’s founding principals Nancy J. Ruddy and John Cetra, as partner Ms. Rodriguez will retain her roles as Principal and Director of Interior Design, overseeing the firm’s quality and technical excellence in an interior design group of more than 20 professionals. Rodriguez also serves as lead interior designer and project manager in the residential, hospitality and retail sectors. Recent major projects led by Rodriguez include Walker Tower, 443 Greenwich and The UAE Mission.

Rodriguez, 43, joined CetraRuddy in 2006, bringing a global perspective from her years of work in Argentina and study in Buenos Aires, where she received a degree in architecture from the University of Buenos Aires, and later, a post graduate degree in management. Last year, Rodriguez was promoted to Principal and had previously held the position of Associate Principal.

“Ximena brings our studio and our clients exceptional process leadership and innovative solutions grounded in technical excellence,” said Ruddy, who serves as the firm’s Executive Director of Interior Design, noting that Rodriguez is trained as an architect. “Her design work emanates architectural clarity coupled with valuable knowledge of materials and finishes. Her passion of quality and construction infuse her work and the firm with great spirit and integrity.”

Regarded by clients and the profession as a sophisticated and versatile designer, Rodriguez leads all project stages, beginning from programming and space planning to concept and design solutions, integrating the client vision into architecture. “Ximena brings a strong voice to the firm’s executive committee and the devotion to our clients’ results from her commitment to project goals and overall construction excellence. Even more so, she leads CetraRuddy’s interior design group and design teams with a collaborative spirit, engaging everyone at each step of the project,” said John Cetra, AIA.

Rodriguez joins the two founding partners and Eugene A. Flotteron, AIA, named partner in early 2014, in carrying CetraRuddy forward in their mission to create innovative, program-driven design that promotes human interaction and the exchange of ideas while offering a memorable sense of place and an underlying notion of home.
