Since its introduction to roofing contractors in 1995, Chem Link’s CHEMCURB System Penetration Seal has added numerous applications to expand its usefulness. Originally a 7.5-inch i.d. round, lightweight cement curb with a two-part pourable urethane sealer, the system added a smaller circle, straights and corners and 1-part pourable sealer, all in response to requests from contractors who found more and more places they wanted to use the system. Then came the E-CURB, a slim, slip-fit 3-inch circle, initially for lightning rod supports, which later added more circle sizes and is also adding straights and corners to its configuration. Now Chem Link is introducing a third self-leveling sealer for the system, DuraSil SL, in response to requests by contractors who needed a seal with the capability of maintaining hot pipe applications up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. The product is a versatile, oxime cure silicone sealant designed for use in pitch pans and warranted penetration seals. It is solvent free, with no isocyanates, will not shrink and has excellent adhesion to most construction materials. Its elastomeric properties and low durometer allow it to accommodate roof movement. Supplied in two-liter pouches for easy pouring, and can be recapped for later use. For more information, call 800-826-1681 or visitwww.chemlinkinc.com.
