A study of the long-term performance of field-aged TPO roof membranes installed throughout the United States will evaluate thickness, flexibility, inspection under 7X magnification, and aged seam and repair weld adhesion. The intent of this study is to evaluate 1) field-aged TPO roof membrane performance and 2) the ability to repair field-aged TPO roof membranes. Assessment tools will be reviewed to determine when it is appropriate to specify TPO roof membranes.

Learning Objectives:

1. Describe the long-term aging effects of field-installed TPO roof membranes.
2. Evaluate the performance and ability to repair field-aged TPO roof membranes.
3. Review in-service performance of TPO roof membranes in various climates throughout the U.S.
4. Assess tools to determine when it is appropriate to specify TPO roof membranes.
