In 2012, OSHA enacted a number of significant changes to its Hazard Communication Standard. One of these changes requires employers using hazardous chemicals to train their employees on new Safety Data Sheets by Dec. 1 of this year.

To help employers meet their obligations under the standard, Ed Foulke of Fisher & Phillips will present a free webinar titled, “What You Need to Know About OSHA’s New Global Harmonization and Hazard Communication Standard.” I had the pleasure of watching Ed speak at this year’s Best of Success conference on the topic of near misses on the jobsite, and I think you’ll find him a dynamic speaker who gets right to the heart of the matter and explains it clearly.

The live event, hosted by Roofing Contractor and sponsored by Allied Building Products, will be held Nov. 14 at 2 p.m. Eastern. This event does not qualify for continuing education credits, but if you are involved in any way with hazardous chemicals, it covers information you need to know. For more information or to register, just visit webinars.roofingcontractor.com. Register now to make sure you have the information you need to meet the new OSHA requirements by Dec. 1, and remember, if you can’t make it for the live event, you can always view the webinar on demand after Nov. 14.
