The acclaimed architecture and interior design firm Spacesmith has announced promotions of two of its key people, emerging architects showing strong potential in their project leadership, design and execution. The newly elevated professionals — the architects William Wong, AIA, LEED AP, and Olga Cervantes Anaya, AIA — have contributed to the firm’s growing national standing for design excellence, expertise in project delivery, and unique focus on their clients’ organizational, business and strategic goals.
With over 15 years of experience in design, construction and project management William Wong has been promoted to the position of principal. A native New Yorker, Wong joined Spacesmith in 2012. Over seven years with Spacesmith, Wong has earned a reputation not only for his critical project management and design skills, but also for his business sense and strategic expertise. With a passion for the complex processes of building project delivery in dense urban environments, Wong is regarded as a leader in project management across the firm’s work in the workplace, retail, academic, and nonprofit sectors. Recent projects led by Wong include the academic renovation at Columbia University’s Chandler Hall and the public and unit interiors conceived for the mixed-use residential complex at 10 Halletts Point.
