BuroHappold on Technology and Better Decisions at AIA
The award-winning firm BuroHappold has announced that its partner Craig Schwitter has been invited to speak at the prestigious national conference of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) on how big data, artificial intelligence (AI), and new visualization tools are radically changing how buildings and structures are planned and designed.
In the session, “Designing in an Age of Technology, Data Visualization & AI,” Schwitter poses a question: “We're building smarter and faster. But are we leveraging technology to its fullest extent?” To illustrate the answer, the acclaimed engineer along with three collaboration partners present evidence and case studies showing that -- when it comes to the planning and building of neighborhoods, campuses, and cities -- the architecture and construction industries can serve as “strategic thought-leaders” relied upon by project owners, policymakers, real estate developers, and the public at large.
