The architecture and environmental design firm Studio Ma has been selected as a finalist to provide worldwide design services for the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO), which handles the construction and modernization of American diplomatic facilities.
The recent announcement follows on the heels of several noteworthy wins for Studio Ma, including the debut of its 715-bed campus housing project at Princeton University and winner of an AIA Western Mountain Region design award and a Brick in Architecture Award. The firm has completed plans for other large-scale projects including the ISTB-7 science center at Arizona State University and the Utah mixed-use project called Summit Powder Mountain. The firm also celebrated the opening of a 1,600-student charter school and a new headquarters building, The Brokery, both in Phoenix.
