San Francisco’s Tenderloin area is one of the city’s most densely populated neighborhoods. Most of its residents live below the poverty line without access to backyards or green space. The area’s only open space, one-acre Boeddeker Park, had become riddled with problems.
The Trust for Public Land, a national non-profit organization headquartered in San Francisco, in close partnership with the City’s Recreation and Parks Department, teamed with WRNS Studio to redesign and completely rebuild Boeddeker Park and clubhouse to meet the needs of the community.
