YKK AP America and AIA Atlanta to Inspire Future Architects at AIA Expo 2015
Company Partners with Melody Harclerode and the Atlanta Chapter of the American Institute of Architects to Help Students Discover Architecture.
YKK AP America will inspire budding architects during this year’s AIA National Convention and Expo in Atlanta. YKK AP is inviting both current and future architects to view a special presentation on becoming an architect, learn about new products and be the first to see the fourth installment of the “I am an Architect” video. The special event will take place starting at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14 in booth #859.
Melody Harclerode, director, writer, and co-founder of AIA Atlanta’s Discover ARCHITECTURE program, will speak to local students and attendees about the road to becoming an architect. Discover ARCHITECTURE is an after-school program that enlists volunteer architects, design professionals, and educators to share the joy and value of architecture and related disciplines with fourth- and fifth-grade students. The event will offer students an opportunity to meet with practicing architects during the show and further explore a career in architecture.
